A magical medieval evening was experienced by the thousands of people who attended the opening ceremony of the 18th Ayia Napa Medieval Festival

"The place was packed during the opening ceremony of the 18th Medieval Festival of Ayia Napa on the evening of Saturday, October 7th. The magnificent parade of bands and groups took place along Makarios Avenue, and the presentation of the bands and the grand concert "From Byzantium to Today" was held in the main square. The concert featured the renowned Greek artist Dimitris Basis, the Cypriot singer Liza Theofanous, and the music group "Orpheas" of the "Panikkos Hatzihambis" Foundation.

Regular visitors from Great Britain and Austria came to Ayia Napa 104, 70 and 31 times respectively and were named by the Municipality as "Ambassador of Tourism" of Ayia Napa

"With the emblem of "Ambassador of Tourism" and with a commemorative plaque, the British Kevin and Gail Smith (31 times), Ron and Dorothy Cox (104 times), and the Austrian Ulrike Dom Weber (70 times) were honored by the Municipality of Ayia Napa for their repeated visits.
